This is just a brief and unexpected mention, written without my knowledge, or any input from me.  Nonetheless, it surprised me to see that the author knew about my efforts to revive the look of 1930s Mickey.  All of this is buried in the small print, and rather hard to see.  But the page did include a photo of the newly created Mickey Mouse Pop-Up.  And it wasn’t just a pick up. The photo  was actually posed and shot for the story.

The article, pretty much, conveys the status of Mickey Mouse in New York City in the mid-seventies.  The Mickey Mouseum Christmas Show had just taken place at Bamberger’s Newark Store, in1973, a year and a half before.  And collecting Mickey Mouse was beginning to catch on and become a hobby for more than just a select few.
