THE BEACON FREE PRESS, 1979
This article appeared in " The Beacon Free Press." Eunice neatly cut it out, leaving no trace of the date behind. But some copy, in an ad on the other side, reveals that the year was 1979. Eunice began making embroideries when we were still living in New York City. There was a shop on Lexington Avenue where she could browse through a thousand shades of colored yarn. But once we moved to the country, suitable yarn was hard to find. The colored photos, below the article, were shot many years ago.
"Office Sweet Office" was commissioned by our friend John Bader. He was an art director at the time. Now he is a successful painter. The embroidery appeared in a full page ad in The New York Times.
